I am a father to a son and daughter and husband to a wife, who all support me and endure the time that I spend away from them.
I have been involved in business from the beginning of my career and have always wanted to add value wherever I worked. I came to realize that I wanted to add value to individuals’ lives and identified this career as the one where I can assist families in planning for the future, whether it be for risk events, saving for tertiary education, or planning to be able to retire comfortably. During the five years in the industry, I have learned to keep things simple in my efforts to ensure that everyone understands the topics at hand. This increases the probability of the client’s understanding of what we are busy with and/or why we are considering the advice that we are presenting to them. It has always been my philosophy to include people when decisions are made, and with implementing solutions for families, it is no different, as understanding what and why you opt for as a solution just makes sense.
It is extremely important to understand that we are not living in a “one-size-fits-all” world and that every family has different needs. The importance of having a tailored plan that suits your scenario is grossly underestimated and could have a huge impact on the outcome at the end of the day. I can assist in ensuring that the plan that you have (or should have) is tailored for your needs.
I enjoy spending time with my family, and especially enjoy the fact that my children are now getting involved in sports and supporting them.
I am also much more of a summer person as opposed to a winter person – love spending time outdoors and getting some fresh air.
I enjoy people and interacting on a personal level. I love to understand how people think about different things, what they prioritise, and what they are willing to sacrifice to achieve their goals. I also enjoy it very much to be part of a journey towards their goals.
